ChipGenius

"ChipGenius" is a Chinese written and designed software tool that reports the microcontroller model number. It is designed to work with a large number of memory sticks. This information is displayed as VID / PID numbers that many other memory stick repair tools require.

The program scans the USB host controllers of the PC for a USB memory stick, and queries the hardware for various parameters. The information is displayed on the lower portion of the window.

The above readout is for the iCreate microcontroller based USB memory stick that I was experimenting with. As you can see the program correctly identified the manufacturer.

I managed to find a file called ChipGenius.zip which contained the tool. This file can still be found on Google by searching for it. However I would recommend a thorough scan of the file before using it as the source is often not reliable, and there are multiple versions floating around.
